  • Don’t forget Australia! We too have our (hugely underestimated) adult literacy problems – and not just amongst migrants.
I read your blog for the first time on Saturday 10/11 and it was soooo familiar! I am teaching on a federally-funded programme in which we dole out almost meaningless assessment numbers and have to “find” increases in our students skills in ridiculously short time frames.
Our satisfaction comes more often from the unmeasured, and unmeasurable skill gains of students.

  • Hi Anna.

    How could I forget AUSTRALIA!?!

Silly me – I will remedy that, ASAP.
Thanks for pointing that out, and WELCOME!

    :-)
